Manage Livestock Breeding Records Like a Pro with FarmKeep’s New Features
We just released some great new features and improvements to FarmKeep iOS app for build 1.6.0. We appreciate all the users who have reached out and given us feedback so that we can continue to improve the app experience for you.
Breeding Groups:
Split breeding groups with multiple maternal animals (dams, hens, drakaina, etc) to improve record keeping.
Add offspring to breeding groups to track breeding history and automatically add dams/sires/parents to pedigrees.
Track stillborns in addition to live offspring births in breeding group results.
An indicator will appear in the navigation menu when it's time to record birth results.
Off Farm Animals:
Premium users can now mark an animal as “off farm”.
What is an "off farm" animal? Sometimes you may want to keep a record of an animal but you don’t want it to show up in your animal list. The animal may not be on your farm for a variety of reasons such as:
This animal is providing stud service or is a donor for artificial insemination.
You want to include this animal in the pedigree of one of your animals, but you do not own this animal.
You have lent out or sold this animal.
Bug fixes:
Fixed an issue that caused some users to freeze when recording breeding results for a custom species.
Fixed an issue that prevented some users from changing the start date of an incomplete breeding group to a point in time that is past the currently set birthdate.
If you don’t see these features in your app yet, you can always go to the app store, search for FarmKeep, and tap the update button.
